Gynatrix pulchella, common name Native Hemp, is a dioecious flowering shrub in the family Malvaceae, endemic to south-east Australia. It grows to 3 m in height and has white or cream flowers.
Significance to the Ganai community.
The stems yield copious fine fibre which was used for string, bags and binding
