Pomaderris elliptica var elliptica, common name smooth pomaderris, is a shrub that grows 1.5-4 m x 1-3 m.  The leaves are mid green egg-shaped to elliptic 3-9 cm x 15-45 mm, with tiny white hairs below. Tip pointed or blunt, margins wavy. The flower colour is pale yellow. Flowering time September to October. Flowers are n large rounded clusters to 12 cm, held above the foliage. Petals present.
